Ananda Wijayasiri Scholarship Program 2025

Exciting News from the Lions Club of Horana!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Ananda Wijayasiri Scholarship Program, which has already provided support to 50 deserving students! With this initiative, the Lions Club of Horana is now supporting a total of 80 students in their educational pursuits. This schoarships will be continued for two years & specific program is planned to uplift the skills of these students in many skills, competencies and attitudes to fit them for future.

Our goal for this year is to expand the program to benefit 100 students, ensuring even more young minds have the opportunity to achieve their dreams.

The event to kick off this incredible program was held on March 22nd at Wijayasiri Restaurant. We were honored to have 1st Vice District Governor Lion Priyantha Perera as our chief guest and the esteemed Professor Daya Rohana Athukorala as our special guest speaker. Their inspiring words and presence made the event truly memorable.
